Jones River Press was established in 1990 with the goal of publishing non-fiction books focused on regional history and other books by local authors.

On these pages, we’ll introduce a number of the books produced over the past dozen years that are available commercially. We have produced an equal number of "privately published" books – that is, manuscripts edited, designed and turned into books for clients and not made for public sale.

The common thread is that we think all of these books offer information of value, but were unlikely to find a home at a large commercial publishing house.That philosophy is reflected in the growing numbers, worldwide, of independent small publishers creating books they believe in.
